While most of our dogs are placed as puppies, anywhere from 9 weeks onward, we do occasionally keep some puppies and raise them to adulthood. We sometimes encounter individuals looks for a service dog candidate who cannot manage a puppy for a variety of reasons. The adult dogs are specifically for that purpose, they are not dropouts or returns and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. We intentionally did not make them available until they were mature.
Olaf is 3 years old. He will be potty trained and have some basics before he is placed and is already neutered. He is one of our smallest poodles standing around 24" at the shoulder and weighing roughly 45-50 pounds. He is great with other dogs and cats. He tends to be fairly calm and a bit of an observer.
Blackie is 3 years old. He will be potty trained and have some basics before he is placed and is already neutered. He is one of our smallest poodles standing around 23-24" at the shoulder and weighing roughly 45-50 pounds. He is great with other dogs and cats. He is very solid and cute as a button. He is very energetic and eager to learn but not hyper and can be super cuddly. He is very attentive to what his human is doing and feeling. Perfect for emotional support and psychological disabilities.
Enforcer is the oldest and although he loves his cuddles, he tends to sit back and observe. He's pretty chill about most things so far, playful and growing quickly! He is already very tall and once he is fully grown should be a very big boy like his daddy, Moe. He already does pretty well with grooming and walking on a leash.
Cub is already showing his personality loudly and lets me know exactly what he thinks on any subject. He is vocal but pretty adventurous and confident. He is filling out nicely and should be a very big boy when he is done growing. He is very social but does pretty well on a leash and manages to hold still for grooming.
Aries was the firstborn of this litter. He can get his point across but for the most part he is pretty calm and content and is a bit more of an observer. He is adventurous and curious just as a puppy should be.
Persephone is the 2nd oldest. She's super cuddly, quiet and calm. Once in a while she will make a fuss but not as a rule. She is very in tune with her human and checks in constantly. Very attentive and would be the perfect emotional support or psychiatric service dog although she is capable of anything you ask her to do.
Hercules was the smallest of all the puppies but not by much. He's really cuddly and calm. Loves to snuggle up in your arms for a long nap. He is very social and checking in with his human constantly.
Artemis is the youngest and the 2nd girl. She is very spirited and opinionated. She gets her point across and is very adventurous and willing to take on anything. New things don't scare her. Her adorable face is beginning to silver out already.
Delphinium is the only male still available from this litter. He is quiet and cuddly, likes to observe for a minute before he experiences something new. He's great with grooming, cats, people, other dogs…..everything a service dog prospect should be!
Rose is a little spitfire. She's the first to tell you she is hungry or thirsty, the first to run over when she hears my voice the first to demand cuddles and ready to jump into anything with both feet. She's very adventurous and thinks outside the box. Great characteristics for a service dog prospect!,
Daffodil is very even tempered. She is not shy but not pushy or very vocal either. She loves cuddles and attention and always wants to know what her human is doing. She doesn't scare easily and likes cats and other dogs. She is learning to walk on a leash and is doing great with beginning grooming.
Honeysuckle is very sweet and cuddly. She watches what her brothers and sisters do before she tries something new but is never far behind them. She was quite vocal at birth but is fairly quiet most of the time now. She runs over whenever she sees or hears me for a cuddle. She is great with dogs and cats and a favorite with people.
Lavender was the first born of this litter and baby 200 born to HSD! She is adventurous, brave, assertive but not loud, loves cuddles and will keep an eye on her human at all times. She isn't the first to jump into new things but probably number 2 or 3! She isn't easily spooked and is doing great with grooming and leashes.
Last but not least is Ivy. She is a bit more of an observer as well but will let you know if she feels ignored which she doesn't appreciate! She sees how things turn out for her brothers and sisters before she tries something but she isn't easily spooked. She does great with dogs and cats, people and everything she has been introduced to so far. Another perfect little service dog candidate.
