Use a commanding tone! Say these key words in conjunction with specific behaviors.

Here is a list of things you can start teaching your puppy while potty training: Potty outside, Go Poop, Ring the bell, Finished, Go out, Go in, Good, Come, Sit, Down, Wait, Gentle, Give, Kennel, Settle, Back, Leave it, No, Off, Take it, Find it, All done, Beg, Shake, Kisses, Eat, Drink, Ouch, Shhh, Tell me, Enough, Heel, name...

Back soon - When you are leaving the house, indicates that you are leaving for a period of time.
BED go to - Put puppy in their bed,
BELL ring it - Ring a bell on the door before going outside.
CHEWY get your - Give a chew toy to your puppy. This is the only thing(s) your pup is allowed to chew on.
COME smooch! - Use your happy voice, pat your legs, start close, back up.
Done? Come back inside - Make sure they are finished going potty, happy voice. Reward for going potty outside.
DOWN - Guide your dog to a down position, reward.
ENOUGH - Open hand, shows that you have no more treats. You will use this later.
GO - Guide your dog to move ahead of you. Use this to teach them to follow a direct by pointing.
Good - Use your happy voice, become animated, pet, pat, rub the ears, give a treat. You may use 1 or all together.
HOUSE - Indicates where you want your dog to go. Say “house”, or “go in the house”. Direct by Pointing
KENNEL - Indicates where you want your dog to go. Say “kennel”, or “go in your kennel”. Direct by pointing.
LET'S GO whistle! - Anticipation of getting ready to go someplace.
IN inside - Guide your dog into the house, into their kennel,
LEAVE it - Redirect the dogs nose (focus), place your hand in the way, or guide the dog away from the item.
LOAD up - Place or guide the dog into the vehicle.
NAME of dog - Use your happy voice, call them by name before giving a command.
NICE be - Remind your dog to be careful of other pets or people. Settle them down when playing too rough..
NO! - Harsh command, to stop problem behavior immediately. Make loud clap as emphasis.
OK release - Use this command to let the dog know when the training session is over, or when they are through working.
OUCH! - high pitch, like a yip. Use this if / when your pup puts his teeth on your skin.
OUT outside - Especially important for potty training. Outside is a fun place to be.
Please -  A simple reminder to use your manners and a normal tone of voice when working with your dog.
POTTY - Going  potty on command, and not going potty unless given permission is critical for service dogs.
POOP - Start by telling the pup what they are doing, “good go poopy”. Later cue them to the right time and place.
QUIET shhh! - Shhh gets their attention. Use the open hand to let them know quiet means, “enough barking”
SETTLE - Guide your dog into the down position, a more relaxed, I want you to stay there for awhile.
SIT - Guide your dog into a sitting position, reward.
SPEAK - Tell your dog what they are doing when they bark. You will use this later.
STOP psst! -  Dogs respond well to a hiss. Their natural response is to stop and find out where the “cat” is.
Thank you - Use good manners, show respect and appreciation for your dogs efforts.
Treat - No free lunch, make your dog work for their treats. Tell/show them what they are working for.
TOY - Use toys as rewards. Playtime, have them bring you their favorite toy in anticipation of retrieval.
UP stand - Guide them into a standing position, reward. Used for grooming, and in preparation for bracing commands.
Vest - Guide them into their service dog in training vest. Get used to the click. Reward
WAIT - Hold their position, before going in or out, up and down steps, before loading or unloading from the car.
WALK - Teach them that going on the leash is a good thing. Hold a treat by your leg, reward when walking with you.
YARD - Indicates where you want your dog to go, “stay in the yard”.
